Many of you can remember when I wrote this post in 2023 in Conversations with the Godhead.
The Lord told me to repost it, starting this week under Intimacy with the Godhead.
Because we are in a Season where He is realigning people with His Purpose.

This particular post was directly instructed by God Himself.
And it’s going to be in Parts.
This Topic is very very important so I pray the Holy Spirit will help me articulate it exactly as it happened over the years.
I get this question a lot – LagosHouseWife, how do I know my Purpose?
Let me tell you 2 things I know for sure about Purpose:
1 – God will NEVER reveal your Purpose to you until you have a personal relationship with Him.
He must always come first before Purpose.
The pattern is always – “Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men”
Following Jesus is the first step before He then makes you whatever He wants to make you.
So if you are busy searching for purpose, let me spare you the unnecessary wahalla. Leave purpose and pursue Jesus instead.
2 – God often reveals purpose through instructions, not necessarily by telling you your purpose. And it is always in bits by bits. Never the whole thing.
He can just tell you – “Go to Sokoto”
Finish
Why? He won’t say
For what? No answer
To do what? Just go.
You won’t even have money to go to Sokoto sef, and He will still tell you to go.
So all of you waiting for God to say in a booming voice – “I have chosen you to be a Business Person dealing in Ankara at Ojuelegba. A woman will give you Ten Million Naira”
Please, let me laugh in a way that will please the Holy Spirit.
And a 3rd thing – There is no time or pattern to how the Instructions will come. Your own is just to obey and be sensitive.
It’s also important to know that God has a good Purpose for everything and everyone He created. But He will not force you to choose Him.
To walk in His Good Purpose, you have to choose to surrender to His Lordship and His Spirit.
If you don’t, God will still use even your disobedience to work out His Good Purpose for others, like in the case of Judas.
And there are Believers who even though they accept Jesus, they will refuse to be led by the Holy Spirit. God will still use them to reveal His Glory in different ways.
That’s why the Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:20-21 AMP
[20] Now in a large house there are not only vessels and objects of gold and silver, but also vessels and objects of wood and of earthenware, and some are for honorable (noble, good) use and some for dishonorable (ignoble, common)
[21] Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things [which are dishonorable—disobedient, sinful], he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified [set apart for a special purpose and], useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.
All of us will still end up as Vessels in His Hands.
But you get to choose whether you will be a Vessel unto Honour or a Vessel unto Dishonour.
My journey to Purpose started in Abuja as a Staff of Transcorp Hilton.
I started having this hunger to know more about Jesus and the Bible.
I didn’t know it then but that is always how Purpose starts – A hunger for Jesus.
I registered for a Discipleship Class.
A daily discipleship class that would clash with my job but I didn’t care. I was prepared to resign to attend the class.
That is another sign – you will value and be desperate for Jesus above all else.
God granted me favour and my manager rearranged my shift to enable me attend.
Once I finished, God gave only one instruction:
Abba: Resign and return to Ilorin
Nothing else
I returned to Ilorin and stayed jobless at home with my parents for almost 2yrs.
In that time I had no other instruction from God.
So I kept busy – writing full length novels I was planning to publish.
I approached a Newspaper and offered to be writing fiction stories free in their Sunday Edition. It became hugely successful. I amassed a large fan base in that time.
I became my Mum’s Shop Attendant and learned a lot about Book Keeping and Accounting.
All the while growing in God and personal relationship with the Holy Spirit.
That God is silent does not mean you should be idle.
Get something doing.
It’s all part of your Purpose Training for the future.
Afterwards I got married and came to Lagos.
To make ends meet, my husband taught himself Web and Graphics Design.
And using my knowledge of Customer Service and Public Relations from my time in Transcorp Hilton, I handled his publicity and got him customers.
That sustained us.
Then after giving birth, I learned Baking from an RCCG free vocational training and started my Cake Business.
It was successful and I built up a solid customer Base.
My son started school and I started posting up pictures of his school lunch.
This led to the writing of the School Lunch Menu and the start of Lagoshousewife.
In all these time, there was no further instructions from God regarding anything that I could point to as purpose o.
We were talking every day and I was growing massively in Him but He never directly referred to anything purpose in all those years.
But it is in retrospect I see His Hand was leading and guiding my every decision and making things happen according to His Will.
But as at then, I didn’t know it.
See, if you are truly submitted to God, you know the Bible, you pray in surrender (Your will, not mine) and are obedient to His Word, you don’t have to directly hear Him for Him to lead you. He will always be ordering your steps.
Anyway
LagosHouseWife started growing and the Lord provided my Cooking Studio.
It was built and designed free by an amazing sister sent by God.
I decided to start a Social Media Cooking Show called Cooking with LagosHouseWife.
The day I started the planning, God spoke
Abba: Separate a night to wait on me in Prayer before you start.
Now, please note that by this time I had established a nightly prayer routine for years.
I woke up to pray every night.
Yet, God was telling me – “separate a night to wait on me”
I knew immediately it was not just to be the regular prayer.
Voluntarily on my own, I chose to fast that day, into the night.
I chose the 20th of September.
This was in 2018.
The day came and at 10pm I went to the Cooking Studio and started praying in tongues.
About 40 mins into prayer, I just started singing out of nowhere.
God has something to say
To me
God has something to say

I listen, I listen
I pay close attention
For God has something to say
To me
My spirit was singing from the influence of the Holy Spirit
And Abba spoke.
Abba: Get something to write.
I ran, grabbed a book and pen, and started writing.
After writing there was silence, but I sensed He wasn’t done so I continued praying in tongues again.
At exactly 12midnight, He spoke again and I wrote it down.
And that was it for that night.
God didn’t speak about my purpose again for another almost 2yrs.
That very night, I typed out what He told me on a Note Pad on my phone.
It’s from then I started writing down everything God has told me over the years about my Purpose.
I go back to them again and again.
I never edit what I write.
Exactly as He says them, I write them.
Whether I understand it or not.
God’s Word stands, nothing can be added to it, nothing can be taken from it.
He has told me to share with you what He told me that night 👇🏾👇🏾
THE WORD OF GOD TO ME
This is the beginning of your purpose.
For this you were born.
Bring light into darkness.
Bring the WORD to the world.
To peasants and kings.
Jesus is the focus.
Make LOVE your greatest.
Love of GOD, to me – to Him
Love of God to Man
Love people
Live Love
Love

and PEACE and SUCCESS and PROSPERITY and ACCEPTANCE and FORGIVENESS .
You always have and offer solution, never confusion.
GRACE & MERCY are your watchword to humility.
My FAVOUR is on you.
Today, the Kingdom of God has come unto you.
Only what you allow will be permitted, I have given you authority
Be bold, be courageous.

And it Begins
The Zeal of the LORD will accomplish this
I have said it, I will do it
Those were His exact Words.
And that is how I wrote them down.
Please note, I still had no idea what the Purpose was exactly.
I was about starting a Cooking Show, and here was God telling me to bring the Word to the World
How did the two join???
I didn’t understand
And He offered no explanation.
Toh, I continued growing in Him and doing my cooking.
Then, on January 1, 2020 He spoke again regarding Purpose.
